diversity management

On a cultural level, the constitution of the Netherlands has changed considerably. In urban regions in particular, but in other areas as well, there is a mix of cultural backgrounds and religions. These changes have most likely affected the composition of your staff as well. At the same time, the constitution of the autochthonous working population has changed in itself. It is no longer solely made up of straight men under the age of 65, but varies from (gay) women, gay men, partially disabled workers, elderly, etc.

This diverse group offers a world of opportunities for your organization, but at the same time raises questions, like: how to integrate diversity in a business culture? How do we adapt our HR policy? How can we, as an organization, benefit from the various cultural differences? How do we adjust our communication and management style? What can we do to encourage these ‘minorities’ to personally and professionally grow to the top?

Higher & Company will sit down with you to address these issues and offer advice based on a broad view on organizations and many years of experience. Again, the key notion is connecting competences!

To this purpose, we have developed a diversity scan. Through questionnaires we assess the ‘diversity-level’ in your organization’s policy, management, procedures and culture. From the scan we will be able to identify gaps in your diversity policy. Subsequently, Higher & Company can offer support and advice on a revised diversity policy, including especially developed tools and instruments.

All development tools by Higher & Company are diversity proof, including our development programmes and assessment centres. In other words, all participants with their various cultural backgrounds will have the same starting position. This way, actual performance measurement will be as objective as possible.
